1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet: BEFORE.
This car had its roof slashed twice (never lock your convertible doors.) This let in excess water, which didn't make the seats, the carpet, the owner, or his girlfriend, happy. The owner brought it to Val's (we do a lot of VW Cabriolets.)
1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet: AFTER. Val's Upholstery replaced the 15-year old white vinyl top and headliner with canvas & repaired the horsehair insulation, giving the car an entirely new look! The "Cabriolet Drip" is gone. More important, the owner's girlfriend and her ever-watchful mother are happy.
In addition to the slashes on the roof, the car also suffered from "Cabriolet Drip." This is when water from the upper left corner of the window drips onto the driver's leg any time it rains. For most of us, this is a mark of pride...but it can be annoying.
I drove my car in the rain for the first time since you installed my new top. For the first time in four years, there wasn't any water dripping onto my left leg! Never mind the fantastic new look...you've elmininated the "Cabriolet Drip!" Richard, San Francisco
